Blog 18 Would You be Able To Be A Forensic Anthropologist and What You Learned From

The first time I read "Dead Men Do Tell Tales" I was pretty reluctant. As a person who does not like being exposed to the gruesome realities of life, I did not want to read a book about dead people. Nevertheless, I was surprised to find myself being captivated by the stories that Maples wrote about. As I flipped more pages and absorbed more stories, I began to actually find the book a pretty good read. Nevertheless, I will never consider being an Anthropologist. Even if reading about death is interesting, actually solving the crimes and having to be involved with dead people everyday of my life would be really depressing. And so, I do not consider an Forensic Anthropologist to be one of my career choices.

This book has impacted me more than I thought it would be. I realize how cruel the world can be and it makes me realize I have to be more careful out there in the real world. To continue, I am revealed to an perspective of an anthropologist and I am exposed to how they think.
