I noticed that the mink and the humans both are delicate on the skin layer. Nevertheless, underneath the skin, our structure underneath the skin is delicate like the mink are. To continue, their shoulder structure is very similar to ours.

I guess what has surprise me the most about the mink was that it resembled a chipmunk and rat. I expected the skin to have a more yellow color to it. I dissected an rat before and what I noticed distinctly in that dissection is that its skin was yellow! This is why i was surprised when it turned the mink skin was a more gray-black texture. I also was surprised at how many fat there was and how much my group actually had to scrape off. From a glance, the mink did not look like it contained too much fat. But I was wrong.

I thought that the most important words were long bone, short bone, and irregular bone. In this chapter, it was the thing that we went over the most. We went into more detail, observing which bone does what movement. To continue, we also looked at what bones had which muscles.

The least important word was perhaps bone. It was the most vague word out of all the words I showed. At least the other words were more descriptive. From just the word bones, it doesn't reveal anything. We do not know the type of bone.

Blog 8 What Interested Me About Dead Men Do Tell Tales

   I was interested in the way the author described his life. He was really descriptive and me feel like I was the anthropologist. One thing I was surprised was the fact that he enjoyed the smell of dead people and compared it to the smell of meat cooking. What horrified me was the many cases that were mentioned including the one about the girl who killed her stepfather after the abuse that she had to endure. This book has really impacted me even if I do not want to be changed by it. When I read this book, I am exposed to the horrors or reality, and at the same time, I contemplate about the concept of death. After hearing many cases where people have dies, I start to ponder about my existence as well as the end of my life. I realize that I have it way luckier than many of the individuals that are mentioned in the book and after reading this, I feel more cynical of the book. I believe this book reveals all the dark things that exist in man kind and also cautions us in life.
